Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has backed his former club to make a move for Manchester City star Sergio Aguero this summer – but doubts the Gunners will pay the Argentine’s wage demands.
Aguero, 28, is clinging onto his future at the Etihad and could leave in the summer unless Pep Guardiola provides him with assurances over his first team chances.

The Argentine was benched in favour of Gabriel Jesus in January but has been given another opportunity to impress following the Brazilian’s foot injury.
Wenger’s future at the Emirates remains a mystery, too, but Parlour says he’d back a move for Aguero this summer – if Arsenal could afford his wages.
‘That [move] would be good,’ Parlour told talkSPORT.
‘That would be a nice signing, but £300,000-a-week though so I’m not too sure.
‘Arsenal would be a much better team with Aguero in it [but] why would Man City want to sell him?
‘They are trying to rule the Champions League over the next few years.’
