Arsenal have been without veteran midfielder Santi Cazorla since the end of October and it’s no coincidence that the Gunners’ campaign has curtailed since then.
Facing another Round of 16 exit in the Champions League and seeing their Premier League title hopes dashed once again, Arsenal are only left fighting in the FA Cup this season and face a battle to secure a top-four finish.
The Gunners will be concerned on what they could lose this summer and they’ll have to achieve their ambitions without Cazorla, who’s now expected to be absent for the remainder of the season- which potentially means he may never grace an Arsenal jersey again.
Whilst Arsenal are rumoured to have extended Cazorla’s contract by another year, no official announcement has been made yet and the Gunners have more pressing concerns- notably how they will cope without the influential Spaniard.
