Arsenal one step away from signing prolific striker
Lacazette, 25, has long been linked with a move to Arsenal.And, according to Marca, they were finally closing in on a deal to sign the striker.They claim Lacazette was "one step away" from agreeing to join the Gunners this summer.However interest from Atletico Madrid has apparently now changed everything.
The Spanish giants are currently banned from signing anyone but they are hopeful of having the transfer embargo overturned.And the club then reportedly intend to step up their interest in LacazetteMarca reckon Atletico, who could lose Antoine Griezmann this summer, will be able to land the Frenchman with a bid of around £30m.Lacazette has been in prolific form this season, scoring 28 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions for Lyon.There are two-and-a-half years left to run on his current contract.
