Arsenal have submitted a £43.2 million bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to reports in Italy.
Tuttosport claim that the Serie A club have started to receive offers for the 23-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.
And Arsenal and Napoli have tested the water with €50m (£43.2m) bids.
The report also claims that Napoli are willing to exchange striker Leonardo Pavoletti as part of the deal.
Belotti is Serie A’s leading scorer with 22 goals already this season.
The Italy international signed a new contract earlier this term, which includes a €100m (£86.5m) buyout clause that applies to foreign clubs.
Earlier this month, Belotti scored a hat-trick in eight minutes to secure a 3-1 victory over Palermo, and Torino’s president, Urbano Cairo, suggested the club will not accept offers lower than the striker’s buyout clause.
“If I had to insert a figure in his contract right now I would go for €150 million,” Cairo told Sky Sport.
“He scored three more crazy goals, one even better than the other.
“We will have to wait and see whether a team is willing to pay €100 million. I hope not because I want to keep him here. We are just enjoying him and his goals for now.”
