Mesut Ozil's future at Arsenal has been the subject of much debate in 2017; the German playmaker is still stalling on signing a new contract with the Gunners, sparking concerns that he will have to be sold in the summer.
However, as reported by The Sun, the 28-year-old may be staying put for the time being with pictures showing the former Real Madrid star having his driveway done at his London home.
It would be a significant morale boost if it were indeed a sign that Ozil was looking to extend his stay with the Gunners after a rather soul-destroying season.
With the German out-of-form, the club finally having to come to terms with finishing below Tottenham and Arsene Wenger's lack of comment on his future, Arsenal fans could do with some good news.
In reality, the paper could be simply reading too much into the pictures, leaving desperate Gunners fans clutching at straws over the future of Ozil.
If he were to depart the English capital this summer, Paris Saint-Germain are now rumoured to be the front-runners for his signature.
In recent interviews, Ozil has stated that his future is not important right now, citing the club's current predicament as the more pressing issue.
Speaking to Sky Sports last month, Ozil said: “The team are having a more difficult spell and at this stage I am not important, no other player is important, what is important is the club.
“We’ve got aims we want to meet this season, there is still lots for us to play for. We still desperately want to qualify for the Champions League for next season as well.
