BREAKING NEWS on Jack Wilshere Future

Jack Wilshere Faces Uncertain Arsenal Future Ahead of Proposed Squad Reshuffle This Summer

Arsene Wenger's proposed plans to trim his squad, and replace players with fresh signings has caused Jack Wilshere to fear for his Arsenal future, due to his chequered record with injury.
The news, from a report in the Times, comes on the back of the announcement earlier this week that Wenger has been given a 2-year extension on his tenure as Arsenal manager, and is still targeting the Premier League during his remaining seasons.
In this regard, the Frenchman has reiterated that only 'top quality' signings will be made this summer, as he believes the core of his squad is strong enough to challenge for the title. With 33 players on senior wages within the ranks though, fans should expect outgoings from the Emirates before any marquee purchases are made.

Wilshere, who spent the season on-loan at Bournemouth after being unable to guarantee regular game time at Arsenal, will enter the final year of his contract next month. The 25-year-old has fallen down the Gunners' midfield hierarchy of late and has a number of players ahead of him in the fight to play regularly.
Wenger has indicated that he will be offered a new deal, but Wilshere is fearful that he will be sold. The England international continues to be blighted by injury woes, as after playing 20 games on-loan at Bournemouth, he suffered a hairline fracture, keeping him sidelined until the beginning of pre-season this July.
Wilshere is not the only one facing an uncertain future at Arsenal. Eight other players are claimed to be in line for a move due to Wenger's deck-clearing this summer. Those expected to leave include Kieran Gibbs, Wojciech Szczesny, Carl Jenkinson, Lucas PĂ©rez, David Ospina, Mathieu Debuchy, Yaya Sanogo and Francis Coquelin despite all the players holding contracts for at least one-year.
