Alexis Sanchez is close to agreeing a move to Paris Saint Germain, according to reports in France.The Arsenal forward’s future has been a source of constant debate throughout the summer, with the Chile international now entering the final year of his contract on north London.Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is insistent Sanchez will remain at the Emirates, even if he does not sign a new deal, but that has not stopped reports circling that PSG are stepping up their pursuit of the 28-year-old.
According to today’s L’Equipe, the French giants are close to agreeing terms with Sanchez - although they have yet to strike a deal with Arsenal, despite sporting director Antero Henrique travelling to London for two days of talks earlier in the week.The report states that PSG want to tie Sanchez to a long-term contract should he move to the Ligue 1 outfit, but he only wants a three-year deal.That was proving to be a sticking point - as were his wage demands - but L’Equipe claim that both issues are now close to being resolved and that an agreement is imminent with the player.They do state, however, that reaching a deal with Arsenal for Sanchez will not be easy.
