Borussia Dortmund director Hans-Joachim Watzke has confirmed that Arsenal has made a formal offer for their striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Gabon's scorer has scored 21 goals in 23 appearances so far this season, continuing with brilliant form.
This form has caused Aubameyang to sign up for a January transfer from Signal Iduna Park.After Dortmund refusing a deal and transferring their striker to Chinese clubs, now Arsenal is behind them as Alexis Sanchez's substitute.
With Chilean striker nearing formalization at Manchester United, Arsenal is looking to invest and according to Goal.com have reached personal agreement with Aubameyangun and Henrikh Mkhitaryanin
.Arsenal also made a bid for the striker of Gabon and Dortmund, and this was confirmed by the director of the club, Watzke."I can confirm that there was a first request from Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and we can not comment on the figures offered by England," Watzke told Ruhr Nachrichten.
Aubameyang joined Dortmund in 2013, and the 28-year-old holds the record record at Signal Iduna Park with 141 goals scored in only 212 appearances
